Emails
Hearthly subscriptions and self-hosted servers can support a shared email mailbox.
There are two primary methods of sharing emails with hearth members: sending emails directly to the hearth mailbox or setup email forwarding rules in your personal email.
Sending emails directly to the hearth mailbox
Each configured hearth will have a unique email address. Emails can be sent directly to this address. It is not recommended to use this email address as the primary email address for website or app accounts.
Forwarding emails to the hearth mailbox
Most email service providers (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc) allow the user to setup mailbox rules which can be used to forward specific emails from your personal mailbox to the hearth mailbox. This should be done with caution as permissive forwarding rules could potentially forward unwanted emails to the hearth mailbox.
